Evolutionary Diversification

This event has expired

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Since the 19th century, scientific communities have almost universally accepted that Darwinian selection explains the mechanism of evolutionary change. A new natural way of thinking which revolutionizes our understanding of evolutionary change is emerging called natural inclusion. We will discuss the distinctions, similarities and implications of these two ideas for life, environment, and people.

EVENT CONTENT

  • Does evolution occur as a result of competition to occupy a pre-existing niche or is life a creative exploration of possibilities in the footsteps of our ancestors?
  • What psychological, environmental and cultural harm does Darwinian selection cause?
  • How do our interpretations of time and space influence our understanding of evolution?
  • Why do so many people conflate Evolution with Darwinism?
  • What role does spirituality play in our appreciation of evolutionary diversification?
