Hello, I’m Candace Bowers

My Story

Rooted in a love for language and the layered ways it shapes how we see and relate, I move through life guided by curiosity, sensitivity, and a deep appreciation for nuance. My journey has wound through quiet corners of Florida to the energetic rhythms of New York, each place leaving its mark through moments of learning, creating, and becoming.

I’ve studied at Tenaj Salon Institute, Seminole State College, and Columbia University in the City of New York, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a minor in English. Through the years, I’ve cultivated a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling and language, using them not only as tools for expression but as ways of listening, relating, and giving shape to what often lives between words.

Professionally, I’ve crafted stories into form across many mediums through editing, writing, strategy, and brand voice. My work lives at the intersection of clarity and feeling, where thoughtful wording can move ideas forward, spark resonance, and give texture to vision. I take joy in weaving narratives that resonate with my audience where precision meets emotion, and craft meets conveyance.

Most days, I may be found writing, editing, tending to meaningful projects, expanding Occurrity, and sharing luminous moments with my lovely partner David and our sweet longhaired dachshund Dasher. In every place I inhabit, I aim to nurture awareness, hold room for curiosity, and create stories that carries something meaningful.
