No Generation

There’s no generation
Without regeneration
Without degeneration
Without flow
From there to here to there
From then to now to then
In the stillness of the night
That calls to life in light
In transient information
Around receptive influence
Ever present
Every where
The great unseen, unheard
Except by those not herd
On the fringes of the masses
Who do not know what moves them
Deep within
Believing instead
In driving force
Delivered from somewhere else
By someone else
Wielding stick and carrot
To keep us all in check
Abducted, addicted, conflicted
Unable to imagine our way out
Through the open door
Between repetition and release
From what’s been said and done
A zillion times before
To new horizons evermore
